Cheery Kitchen

I live in an old house with an old kitchen which is generally fine (but sometimes frustrating being a designer on a tight budget)... BUT I think I might be headed for a new splashback after seeing this cheery yellow one on a blog recently (sorry cant remember which one!). The new tiles give this old kitchen an instant lift!

Instant kitchen lift!

Great Globes of Glory

Design*Sponge

Anyone who is a fan of Miriam Margolyes will pick the 'Great Globes of Glory' reference but when I saw this image on Design*Sponge recently, that phrase sprang to mind. I just love globes and have two of them myself - one geographical (blue & green) and one political (brown & other colours). I have noticed a bit of a trend towards re-purposing the humble globe lately - particularly as light fittings - which I love.

After the Jump

Desk bound in the office today and drowning out the sound of the rain by listening to Grace Bonney's 'After the Jump' radio show on podcast. Sooooo inspiring! I particularly love the Todd Oldham and Genevieve Gorder shows.

Although it is making me rather desperate to get to Brooklyn/New York....

Jardan Sale!

Its Sale time at Jardan! For those of you who would like to buy top quality furniture at sale prices, you may like to scooch over to the showroom over the weekend for the annual floorstock sale.

For those of you who would prefer to select your own fabrics on your own choice of item, contact your interior designer (or me!) who would be only too happy to give you a competitive quotation (around the same price as sale items).

Happy Shopping!

p.s. Nice use of the Teal colour Jardan!!
