lime tonic

Coming up to the end of the year its always nice to visit projects that are winding up to completion. Last week I was invited along to a renovation & extension project I worked on while at ADA. It is now finally getting towards completion and looking fantastic. A great result for clients that have an eye for detail and are a little brave with colour...
A few days before moving back in - pictures to hang, bookshelves to fill...

This project will hopefully be published in a magazine next year, stay tuned!

For Sale in Aberfeldie

One of the projects I have been working on this year is finally finished and now on the market. This is the first of two townhouses on Alma Street, Aberfeldie designed by Instyle Drafting & Design and styled on the original Californian Bungalows prevalent in the area.
RBID specified the external colour scheme including selection of roof tiles, brickwork, garage door & front entry door. Inside, I was responsible for the layout design of all areas, finishes & materials selections, bathroom fixtures, kitchen appliances, and feature light fittings (furniture by another company). I was keen to design an interior that was sympathetic to the exterior yet had a slightly more edgy, contemporary feel. Feel free to visit one of the open for inspections as listed on the website.

Holiday feelings...

Coming up to the end of the year my mind can't help but drift towards Christmas, New Year celebrations and impending holidays. With the warmer weather already here, I can't help but feel like there is a part of me already on holidays - which got me thinking to how you can make that feeling last after you return from a trip.

A couple of years ago my husband and I went to Europe and fell in love with Greece and Turkey. We brought back far too many hand painted ceramics as we just loved the memories we knew they would give us for years to come. Taking this idea one step further, I love the idea of having those memories front and centre by incorporating the motifs and colours into a kitchen splashback or mural - whether your home is modern or more traditional.
