Bolon by Missoni

I caught up with the lovely Stephanie from TAG earlier in the week who showed me
the latest 'Create' collection from Bolon.
Bolon - from the Create Collection

Bolon is a Swedish company who make 'woven vinyl flooring' which is somewhere between vinyl and carpet. Its an inspiring product with a multitude of uses. Recently I was inspired by seeing an SJB Architects job where it was used floor and wall in a bathroom.

I was particularly excited to learn that Bolon have also collaborated with Italian fashion house Missoni to develop a new collection currently being launched at the
Milan Furniture Fair. Cannot wait to see this collection 'in the flesh'!

Navy & Magenta

Navy & Magenta is currently one of my favourite colour combinations. It's a combo that clothing company Gorman does oh so well, but there is no reason why your favourite clothing colours can't flow through to your interior. Especially if they make you as happy as Navy & Magenta make me!!
The trick is in getting your balance right. In most of these images you will notice that the Navy is the major part of the colour scheme and Magenta is simply used as an accent colour. With a lick of paint or a change of cushions or throw, the scheme can be completely transformed. I have a bright Magenta rug in my living room which is a little wild but I know that in a few years time when it starts to look tired, I can easily replace it and change the whole look around.

Ercol Butterfly Chair

We had a great time at Temperature Design's 'Ercol' launch the other week. A new favourite of mine is the Ercol 'Butterfly Chair' - available in a very sophisticated range of colours. Rumour has it Kevin McCloud has a custom made set in Navy.

The only problem I have is picking a colour...
I thought the orange was my fave, but that Navy is super chic, and there is the duck egg blue, not to mention the natural timber or the timelessness of white....
