Zumbo

Have been catching up on some magazine reading of late. I particularly like the feature on the new 'Zumbo' patisserie in Pyrmont in the latest 'Artichoke'.

Artichoke, Issue 38, February 2011

My favourite element is the custom wallpaper with multi-coloured macaroons as seen on the front cover. The interior is Willy Wonka meets Mousetrap (the board game) and features colour, pattern and whimsy in spades. I'm not really mad about sweets but from a design point of view, I think it should be added to the hit-list for the upcoming Sydney trip to Designex in May!

Featured on Miss Rosanna

Last week I was lucky enough to be featured on a great local blog called 'Miss Rosanna'. You can check out her extensive blog and my local profile here.

Ercol Butterfly Chair

We had a great time at Temperature Design's 'Ercol' launch the other week. A new favourite of mine is the Ercol 'Butterfly Chair' - available in a very sophisticated range of colours. Rumour has it Kevin McCloud has a custom made set in Navy.

The only problem I have is picking a colour...

I thought the orange was my fave, but that Navy is super chic, and there is the duck egg blue, not to mention the natural timber or the timelessness of white....

External Colour Scheme

Spent the weekend at the beach house but managed to whip up this external colour scheme for a dual occupancy in the Northern suburbs. Fingers crossed council like it as much as we do.

Desk Bound

After a stinking hot 3 days where we escaped to the beach house for some air-conditioned comfort, I'm back at my regular desk. Lots of work to do for clients new & old...

we're in business

I am totally smitten with my new business cards & letterheads and wanted to shout out to Alex Watson - Graphic Designer and Trent Nankervis from CMYK hub printing for the fantastic results!

Thanks guys. Lucky, lucky me to have such talented friends!
